Post-doctoral position in theoretical and computational chemistry:
Department of Chemistry, Boston University, Boston, MA

One postdoctoral position in theoretical and computational chemistry is available in the group of Dr. Feng Wang at the department of chemistry, Boston University. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, renewable upon mutual consent. The position will involve research in theoretical chemistry with particular emphasis in one or more of the following:

(a) Molecular dynamics study of methane hydrates

(b) Development of an adaptive force-matching method that is capable of systematically generating force fields for systems of interest. (Initial applications will concentrate on methane water potentials and hydrogen metal-alloy potentials. The long term goal will be systematically generating high quality force fields for biological systems.)

(c) Extension of the Drude model (Jordan and Wang, Ann. Rev. Phys. Chem., 54, 367) for describing weakly-bound electrons.Interested applicants please send a copy of CV, and arrange three letters of recommendation to be sent directly to the address below. (Email is preferred.)
